Graham is Principal at SinCo LLC - Sustainable Investment Consulting LLC. At SinCo LLC he leads engagements to design and develop the sustainable investment case for clients managing billion dollar investments or global investor initiatives integrating environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors into investment strategies. Whether working with international organizations, pension funds, family offices or private equity funds, he creates original designs, learns from his failures, and ends each day smarter. Before joining KLD in Boston, he worked in investment banking and managed private sector pension funds at Alexander Forbes, Old Mutual and Nedcor Investment Bank, exiting global multi-manager SEI Investments in 2002. Graham chaired the Prudential Assets Working Group of the investment industry group ASISA that co-designed the world class Regulation 28 ESG guidelines for pension funds in South Africa in 2012. A respected commentator on media platforms including @esgarchitect (a SustMeme Top 200 influencer) and TriplePundit, Graham sits on expert panels for Globescan, McKinsey and Greenbiz, advises the Yale Dwight Hall SRI Fund and is a GRI Focal Point Africa Advisory Group member. A Senior Fellow of the Environmental Leadership Program and Net Impact Lifetime Member, he co-launched Net Impact Boston in 2005 and AfricaSIF.org in 2009. Graham lectures on sustainable investment at leading business schools globally, most recently at Duke Fuqua MBA, and has contributed three chapters on Private Equity, Africa and Sustainability Indexes to "Evolutions in Sustainable Investing" (Wiley Finance, 2011). He presented his big idea "Investing As If The Future Matters" at TEDxTableMountain, listed as one of the CFA Institute’s “sustainable investing - five videos to watch” in September 2014, and in September 2015 peer-reviewed the CFA ESG 2015 Handbook. Graham holds an MBA from the Villanova School of Business and LL.B from the Howard College School of Law, as well as various professional studies in investment and sustainability, including the inaugural cohort of the WWF One Planet Leaders Programme in Switzerland. He resides in Vermont, USA and Cape Town, South Africa. On any day he would rather be cycling a mountain pass.

When hiring SinCo, the project team is led by the ESG architect, with a project team of analysts and/or advisors from our network of partners who are allocated to your specific project needs. The project team is selected from a partner cohort of talented investment and sustainability professionals, including graduates of leading business and policy schools. The project team matches the culture and challenges of each client with the right personnel over the project time horizon.
SinCo maintains a small core team and an international network of colleagues who collaborate on specific client projects ranging from design of investment products, to reporting on PRI assessments, to building sustainability and ESG indexes, to primary research on barriers and opportunities for sustainable investment in frontier markets. Project partners may include investment practitioners, political and environmental economists, research academics, think-tanks, marketing and public relations experts, evaluation & performance professionals, collaborating NGO initiatives, legal advisors and compliance counselors.
